The two again opted to try their luck off Durban and improve on the flathead they had to settle for last month.

The day started with a pike frenzy.

These fish were around in large numbers and made it tough for the Sportswave duo to land decent baitfish.

However, the Sportswave combo did eventually catch several nice maasbanker.

They were hopeful of hooking something big on live bait, but it was a lure that accounted for their only noteworthy success on the day.

The team considers their latest catch an improvement on the flathead caught on live maasbanker last month.

However, they also admit that the improvement is modest.
