Eshowe sprinter, Justine Palframan, has ended fifth in her first round heat at the IAAF World Championships in Moscow today.
Palframan, who was born and raised in KZN, clocked 23.64 seconds in the women's 200-metres.
Palframan is currently based in Stellenbosch.
Rugby
New Zealand have picked one uncapped player for their Rugby Championship clash with Australia this weekend
Ryan Crotty is the only Test rookie in the squad for the game in Sydney on Saturday.
Crotty is on the New Zealand bench.
Richie McCaw will lead an All Blacks starting 15 also featuring the likes of Israel Dagg, Conrad Smith, Ma'a Nonu, Aaron Cruden, Kieran Read and Andrew Hore.
Keven Mealamu and Beauden Barrett are among the replacements.

India A have beaten Australia A in the final of the triangular one-day series in South Africa.
India A won by 50 runs in Pretoria.
Dinesh Karthik top scored for the winners with 73, while Shikhar Dhawan made 62.
