Surf star preparing in Durban
Updated | By Andre Bloem

South African surfing sensation, Bianca Buitendag, is currently in Durban.
She is using our waves to help her prepare for the next event on the ASP World Championship Tour.
Buitendag is currently eighth in the standings and is the only South African woman on the elite tour.
Buitendag says conditions in Durban are pretty similar to those at Biarritz in France.
That is where the Roxy Pro will be hosted in July.
Buitendag says Biarritz is a venue she knows well: "Last year I spent six months in France and lived 20 minutes away from where the contest will be taking place. I am very familiar with the wave there."
She ended third at the Colgate Plax Rio Pro in Brazil earlier this month.
The contest was won by championship leader Tyler Wright. She is from Australia.
Buitendag still calls Victoria Bay in the Southern Cape her home break.
