Updated | By Gareth Jenkinson
Supersport United managed to pull off a 3-2 win over Orlando Pirates to claim the Nedbank Cup trophy.
The match lived up to it's expectation, with the first half providing much of the entertainment at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
Pirates drew first blood through Amigo Memela, catching the hosts off guard.
But the rest of the first half belonged to Matsatsantsa, as they scored all three of their goals which eventually sealed the win.
Jeremy Brockie, Bradley Grobler and Michael Boxall all found the back of the net for Supersport United in the first stanza.
Pirates were then gifted their second goal of the match through a a Clayton Daniels own-goal.
Substitute goalkeeper Boalefa Pule had to replace Ronwen Williams late in goal, making his debut under trying circumstances. Nevertheless Supersport United held Pirates out and claimed the title.
The win secured a spot in the CAF Champions League next season.
