Success for KZN bass anglers

The Midlands Bassmasters interclub tournament held on Sunday 14 July saw 86 anglers competing for a 5 fish bag limit and lots of prizes.
Some really good fish were weighed with a large fish of 3.94 kgs helping Mark Allen achieve second overall with a bag weight of 8.36 kgs.
Mark's son, Cameron, took first prize overall with a total bag weight of 8.57 kgs.
The top lady, Camilla van der Merwe, weighed in 4.02 kgs and top junior, Calvin Robert, weighed a bag of 4.54 kilograms.
Inanda Bass Club took first place overall in the competition, followed closely by the hosts Midlands Bassmasters. Third position went to Predator Bass Club from Pietermaritzburg and fourth to Artlure Angling Club.
It’s time to diarize this year’s Nseleni fishing compo set for 21 and 22 September. First prize is R10 000.00 for the heaviest fish and part of proceeds this year will go to the Tembe and Ndumo Parks. For more info contact Dennis on 083 652 1611.
