Stone booked his spot in the tournament after finishing first on the Sunshine Tour's order of merit. At 23-years-old, he is the second youngest South African to have made that achievement.
Speaking to Michael Vlismas, Stone said it was an amazing achievement and that the Nedbank Golf Challenge is a big one on every local golfer's calendar.
"Having cemented my spot in the Nedbank Golf Challenge is an incredible achievement, it's quite a big event if you're a South African player. It's always nice to represent your country abroad but it's even better to do it at home. The support we get at that event for the South African players is always great," Stone said.
"The new format last year took the tournament to another level and I think it will only keep growing. To have my name among the participants for the week is going to be great."
The competition forms part of the new Rolex Series on the European Tour and gets underway on 9 November.
