Skipper concerns for City
Updated | By Andre Bloem
Manchester City have concerns about their captain.
Vincent Kompany suffered what appears to be a serious groin injury in the English Premier League last night.
Kompany limped off during the 4-0 City victory over Newcastle United.
Yaya Toure, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and Samir Nasri scored the goals in Manchester.
Chelsea will play their next league match tomorrow night. That is when they will host Aston Villa.
The game at Stamford Bridge is the only one on the midweek Premiership menu.
Everton say they have rejected a Manchester United bid for both Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines.
Everton claim to have received a combined offer of 28-million pounds for Fellaini and Baines.
Everton director of communications, Alan Myers, has described the bid as insulting and says it was immediately rejected.
Meanwhile, Fulham have succeeded in their bid for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker.
He agreed to a three-year deal. Parker has made 18 appearances for England.
