Sailing fund-raiser in Durban
Updated | By Andre Bloem
The sailing community has joined forces to raise money at the NSRI Barrel Finale fund-raiser on Friday 16 August at 7pm at the Royal Natal Yacht Club.
To mark the occasion, the yachting fraternity is hosting a Wine Tasting Evening with live entertainment.
A cheque from the previous fund-raising initiatives will be handed over by the Commodores of the Durban yacht clubs to NSRI Station Commander Cliff Ireland from Rescue 5.
All ocean-lovers are encouraged to please support this worthy cause. The cost is R100 per person. Booking is essential and you can contact Gayle on 031 301 5425.
We are in for another beautiful day in Durban with sunshine, clear skies and a maximum temperature of 22 degrees. If you are hoping to surf today, then you need to get on it as early as possible, We have NW winds first thing swinging to NEs later which will peak at 20 knots this afternoon. Windguru is showing some decent 2.2m swell this morning with a swell period of 14 seconds.
