SA Hockey men suffer setback again
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Leading 5-0 at the interval, England saw out a comfortable victory against a lacklustre South African outfit at the first ever Investec Cup for men.
England were able to advance through the middle with ease at times in the first half and the result was a series of well-constructed goals from Nick Catlin and Ashley Jackson, who each scored a brace, as well as captain Barry Middleton.
Further goals from Simon Mantell and Mark Gleghorne allowed the hosts to walk away untroubled, while South Africa were left reeling and next face Scotland on Saturday.
Earlier yesterday, the South African women's hockey team were brought back down to earth, following a 2-1 loss to England.
