Real thumping for Brazil

Brazil's hopes of a fairytale final in their own backyard were ended by a relentless Germany in the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup.

The Germans hammered the Brazilians 7-1 in Belo Horizonte.

Miroslav Klose set the new goal scoring record at World Cup finals.

Klose has now scored 16 goals in 23 matches, he surpassed the great Ronaldo's 15 goal mark.

The Germans are through to the final, while Luiz Felipe Scholri's side will play in the 3rd/4th playoff match on Saturday.

The other semifinal will unfold today with Argentina taking on the Netherlands.

Kickoff will be at 22h00.
