Proteas ready for UAE test

Proteas coach Russell Domingo says his side will be ready to take on Pakistan in the first Test in Sharjah on October 14. The South Africans start with a warm-up three-day game against Pakistan A tomorrow.
"They are a mature bunch of cricketers," said Domingo. The relatively short period of time the Proteas will have before the two Test series will not be an area of concern according to Domingo.
"They have been around for a while and they all have good connections and have played with each other over a period of time. "I don't think it will be a major factor, but it is something that we need to make sure we do."
The players held a lengthy training session at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Sunday after a long break from the Test format. Domingo said his focus would be on the preparation of his troops.
"We touched base this morning and re-emphasised the important elements that have made this Test side so successful. "We want to try and continue with those aspects like preparation, conditioning and execution, things that we have done well over the last period of time."
Faf du Plessis arrived from India on Sunday afternoon, with only Thami Tsolekile still to arrive to complete the 15-man playing squad.
