Proteas pick specialist spinner
South Africa will field a specialist spinner in the first cricket Test against India.
Graeme Smith has confirmed the Proteas team for the opening Test against India.
Imran Tahir will start for the hosts in Johannesburg tomorrow.
The only change to the side that beat Pakistan in the final Test in the UAE is the return of Hashim Amla.
He replaces Dean Elgar.
Bidvest Wanderers will host the first Test against India, while Durban will serve as venue for the second and final Test.
