Australia have won the first of five one-day internationals against South Africa.

The Aussies beat the Proteas by 32 runs in Perth today.

Chasing a victory target of 301, South Africa was dismissed for 268 at the Waca.

AB de Villiers made 80, David Miller 65 and Faf du Plessis 31.

Nathan Coulter-Nile was the most successful home bowler.

Coulter-Nile produced figures of four for 48 in ten overs.

Australia had earlier made 300 for eight in their 50 overs.

George Bailey top scored for the home side with 70.

Vernon Philander was the pick of the SA bowlers at the Waca.

Philander claimed four for 45 in his ten overs.

The Proteas dropped several catches in Perth.

Brad Haddin will miss the entire ODI series against the Proteas.

Haddin continues to struggle with a shoulder injury.

Michael Clarke is doubtful for the remainder of the series.

Clarke, dismissed for 11 in Perth today, is again battling with a hamstring problem.

The Australian captain will go for a scan tomorrow.
