We have been told that fishing is pretty good in Port Edward at the moment.

Terry Nel from Tacklenet reports that Port Edward and the surrounding areas have been producing plenty of shad. The sea has cleaned up so anglers can expect to see other gamefish in the area soon. The estuary has also been alive with rock salmon and perch being landed - with many caught in the evenings. For more info to help plan your fishing trip thisweekend visit www.kingfisher.co.za

Good luck to all of the anglers and crayfisherman taking part in the Quattro Finance King of the Sea 2013 event at the Pumula Beach Hotel this weekend!

The launch sites are from Umkomaas to Shelly Beach. For more information about this exciting event check out www.gofishmagazine.co.za

We are in for a beautiful Friday in Durban with clear skies and a maximum temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. Winds will be westerly and will peak at 19 km/h. Tomorrow will be even better for general beachgoers with temperatures climbing to 28 degrees and NNW winds. On Sunday we have a maximum of 29 degrees and another day of clear skies and NNW to NE winds so its definitely going to be a weekend for the beach.

Today is the day for surfers with light off-shores this morning and some leftover swell peaking at over 3-metres at certain spots. The tide is very full this morning though with high tide just after 8am.
