Pirates setup MTN8 final date with Bloem Celtic
Updated | By Gareth Jenkinson
Fortune Makaringe and Linda Mntambo found the back of the net for the Buccaneers in their second leg clash against Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Sunday. The two goals added misery to Chiefs’ hopes of making the final as Pirates secured their passage with an emphatic 5-nil win on aggregate.
Phunya Sele Sele had already booked their spot in the MTN8 final after securing a 2-1 aggregate win over SuperSport United on Saturday.
The two teams will meet for the first piece of silverware of the 2020/2021 season on December 12, while the venue and kickoff times are still to be decided.
Bloem Celtic were drawn as the home side following Pirates’ win over Chiefs - which will give them certain privileges like selecting their kit.
