The FIFA World Cup in Brazil looms and party time was at the top of the agenda in Durban yesterday. I was there to make sure all went down swiftly.

The Brazilian Carnival took place at Beverly Hills Umhlanga last night.

The event was used to commemorate all media and players around the country.

It was a build-up to the soccer World Cup in Brazil.

Despite Bafana Bafana not participating at the showpiece, Supersport promises to bring the World Cup fever to us via HD TV and world-class commentary.

TV personalities like Robert Marawa and Neil Andrews were the Masters of Ceremony and a live band performed Brazilian Samba music alongside beautiful ladies dressed in traditional Brazilian gear.

Supersport also revealed that Ryan Giggs would be part of their panel of experts during the spectacle.

The opening fixture will be contested by Brazil and Croatia.

The World Cup will run from 12 June to 13 July.
