A fisherman recently caught a huge giant trevally in Richards Bay.
Cameron Johnston of Salt Fishing SA posted a photo of a massive 30.5-kilogram GT that was caught off of Naval Island in Richards Bay recently on a live shad.
The angler tried to revive the fish, but it did not survive. The gills showed signs of previous damage as well.
The giant trevally is also known as the ignobilis kingfish and is a powerful hunter found in both deep and shallow water.
Meanwhile, O'Neill have just released Now Now - a Jacob Wooden surf film starring local star Jordy Smith.
Now Now is a collage of moments tagged and bagged during the first six months of this year. It was filmed in Mozambique, South Africa, Australia and Indonesia.
