Cell C Sharks director of rugby, Jake White, has surprised many by selecting Lwazi Mvovo at fullback for the Vodacom SupeRugby clash with the Waratahs.

Odwa Ndungane has been picked on the right wing for the game in Durban on Saturday.

This despite the fact that Ndungane has played several games at fullback for the Sharks.

Mvovo, to date, has been a specialist wing for the KZN franchise.

"Odwa may have played fullback before, but for me he is not a fullback. I am more excited about seeing Lwazi at 15 this weekend. Lwazi is really quick and he likes broken field play. He has certainly been in excellent form for us this season," White said today.

The former Springbok coach also revealed that the Sharks are looking to bring in another lock forward.

This after losing Anton Bresler to a shoulder problem. Bresler faces up to four months on the sidelines.

White hopes to have another lock by early next week.

Willem Alberts will play lock against the Waratahs.

Kickoff is at 17h05 on Saturday.
