Mexico is the other team to advance in Group A, the Mexicans finished in second also on 7 points following their 3-1 win over Croatia.
Bragging rights went to the Netherlands in Group B, the Dutch finished unbeaten on 9 points and advanced to the second round.
Chile will also be in last 16 action after claiming the second spot in Group B on 6 points.
Spain and Australia have been sent packing, the two sides also met last night, the Spanish emerged as 3-0 winners over the Socceroos.
