Maria Sharapova failed to advance beyond the fourth round.
Dominika Cibulkova ousted Sharapova 3-6 6-4 6-1.
Jelena Jankovic also lost in fourth round action today.
Rafael Nadal and Victoria Azarenka are both still in contention.
Nadal defeated Kei Nishikori 7-6 7-5 7-6.
Andy Murray also won today and will face Federer next.
