Mthalane eyes Durban title glory
Durban boxing fans are in for a world title treat this Saturday.
That is when local fighter, Moruti Mthalane, will meet Jether Oliva of the Philippines in a bout for the vacant IBO flyweight world title.
Mthalane is a former IBF flyweight world champion.
He relinquished the IBF belt for financial reasons.
The IBO fight in Durban will earn him much more money than he would received for his next defence of the IBF crown.
Mthalane has won 29 of his 31 professional fights.
His opponent, Oliva, also has a decent record as a pro.
Oliva has secured 19 wins and has lost just once.
