Mancini sacked by City
Updated | By Andre Bloem
Roberto Mancini has been fired as manager of Manchester City.
A club statement says Mancini was fired for missing most of his targets for the past season.
The former Inter Milan head coach joined City back in December 2009.
Mancini secured one league title and one FA Cup as City manager.
City won 62% of their Premiership matches under Mancini.
Jose Mourinho, Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti are the only managers to achieve better Premiership win percentages than Mancini.
City assistant manager, Brian Kidd, will be in charge for the final two games of the season.
City will meet Reading in the Premiership on Tuesday night.
The other Premiership fixture tonight is at the Emirates.
That is where Arsenal will host Wigan Athletic.
