KZN Academy U19s upset PSV Einghoven
The KZN boys managed to upset the Holland outfit in fine style, scoring all three of their goals in the first half.
They had to come back from 1-nil down, but some fine finishing saw the KZN outfit win their first game of the tournament at the King Zwelethini Stadium in Umlazi.
Mpumelelo drew his side level after the Europeans had taken an early 1-nil lead from a free kick. Not long after, Menzi Ndwandwe scored the goal of the game. The midfielder got the ball on the halfway line, and spotting the PSV goalkeeper off his line, smashed home a long range shot that sailed into the goal to make it 2-1.
Thabo Cele added KZN's third goal before half time. PSV managed to score just after the break, but the Academy boys held on for a famous win.
Earlier in the day, Arsenal's U19s beat Glasgow Celtic 4-2.
