SA surfer, Jordy Smith, has been crowned champion at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach.
Smith beat Caio Ibelli in the final.
Smith had earlier defeated Adriano de Souza in the quarter-finals and beat Ezekiel Lau in his semi-final heat.
Smith is the first South African surfer ever to secure the title at Bells.
The win at Bells has lifted Smith up to second in the world championship standings.
John John Florence is top of the standings.
