Impi still in with a chance for promotion
UKZN Impi were defeated by Central University of Technology in Varsity Shield action yesterday - CUT have secured an automatic spot in the Varsity Cup next season.
The final score st the CUT Rugby Stadium in Bloemfontein was 35-26 in favour of the hosts.
FNB Wits have been relegated from the Varsity Cup, while FNB UJ are still in with a shout.
Impi will battle it out with UJ in a relegation/promotion match.
John Mitchell's side finished second on the Shield log, while CUT grabbed top honours.
