Huge shad to hit Westbrook and Zinkwazi

The Kingfisher guys reckon it’s been a great week for big Shad! Currently the Kingfisher Biggest Shad Compo third place is held by a fish of 3.64 kilos, while both first and second are tied at 4.28 kgs!

All in all a mixed bag of catches has been caught up and down the coastline. It seems that the bigger Shad have moved up the coast with Westbrook and Zinkwazi being their prime hunting grounds.

There are still some good catches of Garrick and a few Kob areas also hanging about.

It’s going to be a beautiful Friday with clear skies this morning otherwise partly cloudy weather with a 30 percent chance of light rain in the evening. It’s going to be a lovely warm day for the beach with temperatures peaking at 28 degrees. Wind guru is showing light variable winds for most of the day with a swing to SW’s later.

As far as the weekend weather goes things take a turn tomorrow with SW winds, rain and much cooler weather. Sunday will also be cool with Southerly winds and some light rain so holidaymakers should try to make the most of today’s great beach weather. Surfers, standby, after a few flat days it looks like we are in for some swell this weekend.
