Hudson to quit CSA
Updated | By Benedict Ngwenya
Reports suggest Hudson will step down from his role in June this year.
Hudson, 50, yesterday made himself unavailable for nomination to be re-elected as convenor of the panel he has presided over since May 2010.
The contracts of all four panel members - the other being Shafiek Abrahams, Hussein Manack and Linda Zondi - came to an end after this year's Cricket World Cup in March.
The provincial union's CEOs and presidents were informed that they must vote for a new selection panel, with the deadline for nominations being Thursday, April 30.
The current panel can be re-appointed if they are again nominated.
Hudson's reasons to step down were to focus on his career as a banker as well as spend more time with his family.
Hudson, who was an opening batsman, played 35 Tests and 89 ODIs for the Proteas in the 1990s.
