Springbok coach, Heyneke Meyer, said today that he named Mvovo on the bench, because of his potential to make an impact.

Meyer retained Bryan Habana and Cornal Hendricks on the wings.

Meyer revealed that Hendricks had again been awesome in practice this week and also praised the way Hendricks performed against the World XV last weekend.

Meyer also liked what he saw from Mvovo during his brief spell on the field at Newlands.

Meyer added that there is little to choose between Gurthro Steenkamp and Tendai Mtawarira at loosehead prop.

He picked Steenkamp to start in Durban as he is set to win his 50th Test cap.

Meyer also felt that Mtawarira had played a lot of rugby this year, but made it clear that the Cell C Sharks player will see action on Saturday.

Lood de Jager is also on the Bok bench this week.

Meyer described the Toyota Cheetahs lock forward as physical, enthusiastic and intelligent.

He pointed out that De Jager had achieved three distinctions in matric.

Kickoff is at 5pm.
