Govender fishing champion again
Updated | By Staff Writer
Once again a good number of fish were caught.
The fishing wasn’t wild by any means and anglers had to work hard to get their catches.
This catch, photo and release event is the biggest of its kind on the world and attracted 130 entrants this year.
Neal Govender was the runaway winner and walked away with a host of prizes including cash, fishfinder, tackle, holidays and much more to the value of about R60 000.
This is Neal’s second win and he proved once again what a top angler he is in managing to catch a range of species including yellowfin tuna, giant kingfish, couta and bonito to name a few.
In second place was Fritz de Koker, followed by Byron Kane in third.
