Kevin Anderson is through to the Australian Open third round.
Anderson beat Dominic Thiem of Austria in straight sets in Melbourne today.
The South African won 6-4 6-3 6-4.
Others to advance to the third round today include Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Tomas Berdych, Sam Stosur and David Ferrer.
Sabine Lisicki is no longer in contention.
The 15th seed lost to Monica Nicolescu.
