Exciting times for newly promoted Brentford

As the new Premier League season fast approaches, newly promoted Brentford FC have signed a ground-breaking deal with South African betting operator Hollywoodbets who are their new front of jersey sponsors.

It’s a first for a South African company and shows how the relationship has grown after the Durban-based agency begun their journey with the West London club at the end of 2020 ahead of their historic promotion to England’s top-flight.

The Bees, as they are affectionately known, were last in England’s highest league 74 years ago and have gone through heartbreak in many play-off losses throughout their journey back to the top.

Being in the biggest league in the world is a major step for the club who have moved into a new stadium and they hope that this exposure through their new sponsors and their new league will increase the interest in the club.

“Our promotion to the Premier League means we are now broadcast in more homes around the world than any other league or competition,” Chief Executive Officer of Brentford Jon Varney said.

“This global platform creates an opportunity to grow interest in The Bees and for us to maximise commercial returns to reinvest in our squads.

“Whilst it is important to grow revenue it is also important to build relationships with organisations who share our values.

“Hollywoodbets have been with us on our journey to the Premier League and we are delighted they have decided to invest further and become our front-of-jersey sponsor.”

For Hollywoodbets’ Brand and Communications Manager Devin Heffer this partnership made sense on several levels.

“We share similar values and we have the motivation to keep pushing ourselves to new heights,” he said. Continuing this sponsorship and debuting with The Bees on the front of their jersey in the English Premier League is a dream come true for us.

“This is a proud moment for our country, and for South African football fans, and we are excited to bring our customers closer to the most watched league in the world.”

The Bees open their account in the Premier League against fellow London club Arsenal at the Brentford Community Stadium on 13 August.
