Europe more physical - Mohoje
Updated | By Staff Writer
The Springbok flanker says conditions in Europe translate into a greater emphasis on the pack.
"It is a bit wet and so the forwards will play much closer and tighter. It is more physical than in the southern hemisphere. You know we enjoy running with the ball, but up here it is a bit tough to do that."
The Springboks have a date with Italy in Padova this weekend.
Boks coaching consultant, Richie Gray, expects a difficult challenge from the Azzurri.
"I know the Italian players pretty well. They are intense at the breakdown and will be competitive there. They have some world-class players."
Jannie du Plessis has a hamstring injury and will not feature in Padova on Saturday.
