Durban’s Super Giants sign Noor Ahmad to replace Madhushanka
Updated | By Durban's Super Giants
Durban’s Super Giants are
excited to announce the signing of exciting Afghan spinner, Noor Ahmad for the
2024 season of the Betway SA20 starting next month.

One of the only unorthodox left-arm spinners in world cricket, he replaces Sri Lankan speedster Dilshan Madhushanka in the DSG setup.
Noor took the world by storm after an incredible debut season at the IPL 2023 where he picked up 16 wickets in 13 matches at an impressive economy of 7.82 for the eventual runners up, Gujarat Titans.
Despite being only 18 years old, Noor showed talent and maturity beyond his age when he represented Afghanistan in the recently concluded World Cup where he took five wickets in two games in what proved to be the nation’s best ever campaign at the 50 over showpiece.
Noor will look to capitalize on the spin-friendly tracks of Kingsmead under the mentorship of veteran spinner and DSG captain, Keshav Maharaj.
He will also join fellow Afghan compatriot, Naveen ul Haq, who was recently announced as a key signing by the Super Giants.
DSG will kickstart their campaign on 11th January, 2024 in a headline clash against MI Cape Town.
