Dolphins to host One Day Cup qualifier
The Hollywoodbets Dolphins will host the Momentum Multiply Titans in the One Day Cup qualifier at Hollywoodbets Kingsmead Stadium on Wednesday afternoon, following a sensational turnaround in the tournament.
After a disappointing start to the One Day Campaign, the Dolphins found their rhythm to win four consecutive matches which propelled them up the log. The team’s dominant performances in the latter stages of the tournament showcased their resilience and determination as they charge into the knockout phase.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) recently ruled on a points adjustment which elevated the Dolphins to the second place on the One Day Cup table.
The team’s success has been built around teamwork and contributions from the entire squad. This was fuelled on by standout performances from JJ Smuts sitting as the second highest run scorer of the tournament with 360 runs at an average of 51 and captain Prenelan Subrayen who has led the bowling attack superbly by claiming 12 wickets to sit fourth on the overall wicket-takers list.
With just two matches separating them from silverware, the Dolphins are eager to keep their winning momentum going. The team is determined to give their all in front of their home crowd who have been faithful in their turn out at Kingsmead for this tournament.
