Daga salmon action in Durban
Updated | By Andre Bloem
Central KZN reports indicate that there have been good Daga catches. These fish have mainly been feeding at sunrise and sunset.
One or two of these fish have exceeded the 35kg mark. There have also been good catches of garrick in this area.
The latest Kingfisher Ski Boat and Paddle Ski Angling update says that skippers and paddlers up north have not had a good go of it, with only a few snoek and the odd yellowfin tuna being caught.
Garrick have been scarce with Mapelane being one of the few areas producing them.
Yellowfin tuna are still around the Protea Banks area on the south coast. Although not plentiful, they are around for skippers willing and able to put the time in.
We are in for a partly cloudy start to our Friday morning with temperatures peaking in the mid-20s. There is a 60% chance of rain showers later with SSW winds peaking at 26 knots.
Saturday morning will be cloudy, but it will clear later with a maximum temp of 22 degrees and southerly winds of up to 10 knots.
Sunday is looking good for all beachgoers with clear skies and a high of 22 degrees - surfers can look forward to some decent swell with westerly winds swinging to light variables later.
