Controversy over Ivorians exit
Ivory Coast were robbed off a spot in the knockout stages at the FIFA World Cup after a controversial decision by the referee sent the Ivorians packing.
Needing just a draw to advance to the last 16, Ivory Coast were eliminated out the Brazilian showpiece.
A last minute call by the referee awarded the Greek a penalty.
Video evidence clearly showed that the penalty shouldn't have been rewarded, the African defender Giovanni Sio made no contact with the Greek striker Samaras.
Samaras would then convert the spot kick and secure Greece's spot in the next round.
