Conservation talk at uShaka
Updated | By Andre Bloem
The Sustainable Seas Trust along with the South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) are currently on the SAMSA SEA Pledge Saldanha to Sodwana Tour.
For four weeks the team will be touring the South African coastline spreading the message of coastal conservation.
This week Sunday, 5 May, they will be in Durban where a South African conservation champion and celebrity marine biologist, Dr Eleanor Yeld Hutchings, will be presenting an enlightening talk on South Africa’s coastline.
The Durban talk this Sunday will take place at 15h00 in the afternoon in partnership with the SAAMBR at the Len Baumann Conference Hall in the Education Centre at uShaka Marine World. Everyone is invited to attend.
Hutchings has exceptional tales to share about the wonders of our vast coastline and there will be a call to action with suggestions of ways for all of us to help with the Sustainable Seas Trust ocean conservation projects.
So all beachgoers and ocean lovers are invited to be at the Education Centre at uShaka Marine World this Sunday from 3pm. Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!
It is going to be another beautiful day in Durban on Thursday with clear skies and temperatures climbing to a very warm 29 degrees. We have light NW winds this morning swinging to NEs of 28km/hr later.
