Comrades runners this year will be supplied with various refreshments and other running aids.
Here is the list of supplies for the big race from Pietermaritzburg to Durban on 1 June 2014.

Megaload - 62400 sachets
Water - 2132000 sachets
Oranges - 784 pockets
Bananas - 600 boxes
Biscuits - 300 x 4kg boxes
Energellies - 250 boxes
Chocolate - 1000 kg
Amageu - 10000 sachets
Vaseline - 188 tubs
Arnica Ice - 600 tubs
Bins - 3950
Black bin bags - 5160
Green bin bags for recycling - 5160
There will also be several road closures on the day.
