Sosibo has been described as a humble and well-liked athlete.

Friend and fellow runner, Matsatsela Ngcobo says he was a humble soul he started running in his early days.

"He was known as ‘uBhuti’ to everyone. People respected him and looked up to him in a very special way. He inspired many with his impeccable running style and supporting other runners. He was always on the road doing what he did best. At other times he was a respected pastor at the Zionist Church. Many of us will miss him greatly," he said.

A memorial service will be held at his home in Sweetwaters on Saturday.
