Brilliant replaces Khune for Bafana
Updated | By Nondumiso Zakwe
Bafana Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba has called up Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Brilliant Khuzwayo to replace his injured club teammate Itumeleng Khune.
Khune suffered a knee injury which is expected to keep him out of action until next year.
Bafana take on Angola in back-to-back clashes for Round 2 of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifiers.
Their first match will be away to Angola on Friday set to start at 4:30pm SA time.
While their second meeting will be next Tuesday at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
Kickoff there is scheduled for 7pm.
Khuzwayo's call up comes two days after picking up a man-of-the-match award in the Telkom Knockout semifinal victory against Orlando Pirates.
The 25-year-old joins Ronwen Williams and Jackson Mabokgwane as goalkeepers who have also made the cut.
