The teams featuring in the quarterfinals of the Rugby World Cup have been confirmed following the conclusion of the pool stages of the competition.
Sunday night’s clash in Yokohama brought down the curtain on the pool stages as Japan played out to a thrilling 28-21 win over Scotland to progress to the knockout stages for the first time in history.
After a weekend that saw Typhoon Hagibis cause widespread flooding and damage leading to the deaths of 15 people, the victory was a momentous moment for the nation.
