Sunderland are up to 15th in the English Premier League standings.
This follows their 1-1 draw with Stoke City on Monday night.
Former Manchester United defender, John O'Shea, equalised for the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light.
Sunderland lead both Norwich City and Newcastle United on goal-difference.
Sunderland are three points clear of Wigan Athletic.
Wigan are 18th, but have played a game less than Sunderland, Newcastle and Norwich.
There is one match in the Absa Premiership tonight.
Black Leopards will be up against Sundowns in Polokwane.
Leopards are bottom of the log, while Sundowns are 11th.
Leopards trail Chippa United by a point, but have a game in hand.
