The garrick seem to have gone off the bite at Amanzimtoti and Winklespruit  and not many fish were reported recently.

In Umkomaas there are still a few big grunter left from last week, but this very popular spo talso seems to have gone off the boil a bit.

In Scottburgh anglers targeting edibles have been quite happy to catch the stone bream on offer. For more information on fishing you visit www.kingfisher.co.za

Don’t forget, the Endangered Wildlife Trust & I Am Water are inviting all freedivers, snorkelers, scuba divers, surfers and spearos to come and celebrate World Ocean's Day on 8 June with a Freedive to raise funds for Dugongs.

Each diver needs to find a sponsor of R100 per metre depth that they freedive to.

The action will be going down at 10am on 8 June with participants meeting at OceanWorx in Umkomaas. Real Life Mermaids - Hanli Prinsloo and Beth Neale - will be diving on the day as well.

Experienced freedivers can attempt new personal best depths but all ocean-lovers are invited to participate, even if you swim down to 1 or 2 metres. It really is all about celebrating World Ocean’s Day.

It looks like we are in for some cloudy weather later in Durbs on Monday with temperatures peaking at 23 degrees Celsius. We have SW winds this morning swinging to easterlies later.
