Baxter announces Bafana squad to face Seychelles in back-to-back qualifiers

Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has announced a 24-man squad to face Seychelles in back-to-back 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The first match will be hosted by South Africa and will be the played at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 13 October 2018.
Kick-off is at 15h00.
The return leg will be away in Seychelles, on Tuesday, 16 October 2018 at Stade Linite, in the capital Victoria.
Kick-off is at 14h30 South African time(16h30 Seychelles time).
The two nations have only met once; back in 2005 in the COSAFA Cup tournament where Bafana Bafana ran out 3-0 victors, with a brace from Katlego Mphela on his debut, and the third goal scored by Lerato Chabangu.
The clash took place in Mauritius.
Baxter has kept the bulk of the squad that played to a goalless draw against Libya last month in Durban.
But Bafana Bafana will be without the services of midfielders Keagan Dolly and Bongani Zungu, who are both injured.
Zungu also missed the clash against Libya.
The Total 2019 Africa Cup of Nationstournament will be played from 7 – 30 June.
Cameroon are the defending champions and will be hosting for the first time since 1972.
Bafana Bafana will assemble for camp on Sunday, 7 October 2018 in Johannesburg.
They will travel to Seychelles on Sunday, 14 October and return to the country on Wednesday, 17 February.
South Africa’s penultimate 2019 AFCON qualifier will be a home match against Nigeria on Saturday, 17 November 2018 at the FNB Stadium, with the last one scheduled for March 2019 away to Libya.
