Bass action at Albert Falls
Updated | By Andre Bloem
The Albert Falls Classic bass tournament is 33 years old this year.
The competition is held once a year to raise funds for the SA Bass Angling Association and is taking place on Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September 2013.
Over time the format has changed and this year is no exception. Each boat is allowed to weigh in their three heaviest fish, which will put them in line to win some great prizes. First prize is worth R220 000 – a fully rigged bass boat with electronics and motor.
There is also prize for the heaviest fish weighed in by a lady, a junior prize, a mixed doubles prize and a parent and child prize.
All funds raised will go towards sponsoring the Junior and Senior Proteas and President’s teams in the various events they participate in during the season.

Durbanites, you can look forward to a gorgeous start to your week with sunshine and clear skies today. It is going to be hot with a maximum temperature of 30 degrees. We have northerly winds blowing this morning which will swing to NEs of up to 18 knots later.
