Amazulu off to a good start in PSL
Updated | By Staff Writer
Amazulu have been in fine form since the start of the current Absa Premiership season. Usuthu have played five matches, won 3, drawn 1 and lost 1. Last night the Durban Club played to a 1-1 draw at Bidvest Wits.
AmaZulu coach Craig Rosslee said that, under the circumstances, the draw felt like a loss.
"I think any team in the world would be gutted to have the match finish like that. The boys worked their socks off and we never lost the game, but the draw felt like a loss quite frankly."
AmaZulu collected 10 points from their five outings, and before a round of games on Wednesday evening, found themselves second on the log.
Rosslee credited his side's log position to the work ethic of his charges.
"It's a testament to the boys where we are on the log. They worked really hard today. When you come up against a quality side like Wits, who have some fantastic players all around the park, they play a certain style of football that makes it difficult for the opposition.
"The effort was outstanding, and to score the goal we scored was fantastic."
