Deputy Minister of Higher Education Mduduzi Manana's addressed delegates at the first HEAids Conference.
"We don't have all the answers, maybe for a longer time we thought we had the answers as government, but it has dawned on us now that you are just as important participants. The Higher Education and Training Centre is really for the youth and about the youth. We cannot take decisions and develop policies without factoring in your inputs. Your suggestions and what you think must happen," he said.
The conference was held at the Durban ICC this weekend.
Manana and Deputy Minister in the Presidency, Buti Manamela signed the conference declaration on behalf of government, promising it will assist in fighting HIVAIDS among youth.
