You don't need permission to fight colonialism: Malema
Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema says the youth of South Africa do not need permission to fight colonialism or apartheid.
"You don't need permission from a parent or anyone to get involved in the revolution and fight against the colonialism and apartheid. Once you feel that aggrieved, wherever you are, stand up and take a stand inspired by 1976," says Malema.
Malema was addressing the party's Youth Day rally at the Boipatong Stadium - saluting the people of Boipatong.
"We came here, because you must be honoured. We came here, because we want them to remember Boipatong," says Malema.
Malema says the parents of today's youth is still voting for a party who is treating them the same way apartheid treated them.
"We, the youth of Boipatong, must not accept this situation. We must stand up like those in 1976 and say it will not be done in our name. We are going to fight this government who is disrespecting the people of Boipatong," says Malema.
