Woman in hospital after dog attack in Malvern

A woman has been admitted to hospital for critical injuries suffered during a dog attack in Malvern.

Reports are that she was leaving her home on Daisy Road on Tuesday when the animal, which appeared to be a Belgian Malinois, attacked her.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the woman, believed to be in her 30s, suffered multiple bite wounds.

“Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise the injured lady before she was rapidly transported to a private hospital where a trauma team was awaiting the patient’s arrival.
"SAPS, Metro Police and SPCA were on the scene and will be investigating what led to the attack."
