Woman critically injured in early-morning M7 crash
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Five people have been injured - one critically so - following a collision between two vehicles along the M7, just before the Bellville Bridge, this morning.
Details surrounding the crash remain unclear, but it's believed that one of the vehicles failed to stop in time - rear-ending the other.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says the impact of the collision was quite severe.
"There were four people entrapped in the one vehicle, while the driver of the second vehicle was also seriously injured and transported hospital," he said.
Part of the M7 had to be closed to traffic earlier, to allow for emergency services to tend to the injured, and clear the scene.
The cause of the collision is unknown, however police are investigating.
